In conjunction with our regular services to South America and Asia, Intermarine is a worldwide provider of customized project ocean transport. Whether using our regular services, a custom constructed voyage to/from Europe or Africa, or connecting through our Houston loadcenter —the largest project cargo terminal in the United States, Intermarine will provide service tailored to your needs.
What sets Intermarine apart is our ability to provide door-to-door transport service for entire projects including super heavy-lift and oversize modules and all accessories. Offering more than just heavy lift ships, Intermarine’s scope includes the inland, coastal and ocean transport of virtually any size piece, including the exact placement or erection at site.
This extensive expertise allows Intermarine to capture some of the largest global heavy lift transport contracts. They include projects in Venezuela such as the Sincor Downstream Super H/L Development Project, the Petrozuata contract for the Vehop Downstream Facility Project, the Cerro Negro Downstream and Upstream Project, the Pigap II Project, and the Accro III & IV Project to name a few. In addition, the Delayed Coker Project in St. Croix and the ALNG Trains 2, 3, & 4 in Trinidad. These projects from origin points around the world, totaled more than 1,000,000 revenue tons including modules with weights in excess of 950 metric tons.
Using an operating model that customizes each voyage to the needs of the immediate customers, we have grown to become the dominant carrier in the Americas trades. Our more than 250 project cargo voyages a year easily surpass that of any other carrier in the trade. In our core markets, Intermarine’s cargo market share in project, oil & gas development and processing equipment is consistently 50% or more.
